Health Care

Because health care is an ever-growing concern, LSAP’s advocates work to ensure quality, affordable, accessible health care for vulnerable Minnesotans, including seniors, low-income populations and people with disabilities. Health care–related issues are deep and far-reaching, and can include medical assistance programs, coverage for children, MinnesotaCare access and reimbursements, increasing access to private health coverage and long-term care services.

  • Highlight

In 2007, partnering with other organizations, Legal Aid helped to successfully advocate for numerous policy changes that will allow more children, families and homeless people to be eligible for public health care programs.
