School Restraint and Seclusion Project
School Restraint and Seclusion Report
The Minnesota Disability Law Center has issued a report on the use of restraint and seclusion on students in Minnesota Public Schools. The report is based on a review of P & A intakes, analysis of state complaint and hearing decisions and survey responses from special education directors, advocates and parents. In addition to offering recommendations to policy makers and school districts, the report provides estimates of restraint and seclusion use, shows patterns of use, and discusses promising practices.

Restraint and Seclusion in Schools - Parent Survey
We also maintain a short online survey for parents with children who have been restrained or secluded (placed in a room by him or her self) during school. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes and we will keep your name, your child’s name and any contact information confidential. You also have the option of not providing any contact information.
