Youth Law Project

Devoted to improving the lives of at-risk youth in Hennepin County, the Youth Law Project (YLP) provides advice, referrals and representation to children between the ages of 12 and 18. Based at the Southside office, the YLP reaches out to especially vulnerable communities of color.  The Youth Law Project can offer assistance with the following issues:

  • Abuse and neglect
  • Independent living
  • Allegations of neglect involving a child under the age of 10
  • School discipline issues including suspension, expulsion, and referral to juvenile court
